Good morning all! I hope you are having a fantastic #thriftscorethursday!
Our awesome guest host this week is Kyla from House of Hipsters, and yes – her blog is as awesome as it sounds! She totally had me hooked with this Brandy Old-Fashioned recipe and her gorgeous campaign dresser was actually a feature at last week’s Thrift Score Thursday.
Want to know how to get YOUR thrifty finds to the #thriftscorethursday party and maybe see them featured on one (or all!) of the hostess’s blogs?
Simply share a picture of any thrifty find on Instagram or Twitter using #thriftscorethursday!
The Facts:
– You can share any thrifty finds with us – whether they hail from a thrift store, Craigslist, estate sale, garage sale, side of the road, or apartment dumpster! The fun, the funny, the awesome, the odd – this hashtag party is open to all!
– Feel free to use #thriftscorethursday any day of the week! We’ll be keeping up with the hashtag all week long to find our favorites for the following Thursday.
– Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of and I will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
The Features:
I think this ceramic camel stool/table Candy (Instagram: candy_habitat2home) picked up is just so cute. I want one! She’s debating whether to keep it as-is or paint it and I think it would be lovely either way. The original colors are just so fun to me though – it would fit into any room in my house!
I recently started following Kira from Kira Arts (Instagram: kira_arts) on Instagram. I was intrigued by this collection of rainbow sweaters she posted, so I visited her profile and was blown away by what she uses them for…
She makes the most freaking adorable stuffed monsters and plush toys (like foxes!) ever! Her Instagram feed is definitely a fun and whimsical rabbit hole to tumble down.
Finally, I can almost guarantee that this brass deer head from Emily of Eleven Gables (Instagram: elevengables) is making the #thriftscorethursday rounds today. Because it’s just that awesome.
And because some of us are loud and proud brass animal addicts. (Wait, you thought I was talking about myself?! If you ask me, Cassie is the one with the real brass deer problem…) Emily shared this deer head as part of her Fall in Love room reveal last week – check out the entire hunting-lodge-inspired room right here!
My Find:
So there’s this one needlepoint pillow I have that is constantly making the rounds in my home… It’s hopped from the living room to the bedroom and everywhere in between because it just has all my favorite colors in it. Basically, if it’s on the pillow, I know it will work in my house.
This little pillow was a thrift score so long ago I don’t even remember when or where I bought it! But I’ve been pretty obsessed with it ever since.
So when I saw this little needlepoint pillow at the thrift store the other day, I knew I had to have it! In fact, now I have a new mission in life – to collect all the little square velvet-backed floral needlepoint pillows out there!
This pillow is destined for our bedroom, I think, which is why you see it paired with the leopard pillow (my favorite fabric – Braemore Jamil Natural). Even I wouldn’t keep that leopard pillow in the living room with the leopard rug. As much as I love leopard and as crazy awesome as the oranges in the pillows look with the emerald green curtains… You know, how bad would it be to have leopard on leopard anyway?
So you’ve seen my score – show me yours! Hashtag your finds so we can all enjoy them!
Be sure to check out the finds and features from Trisha, Cassie, Corinna & Kyla for more #thriftscorethursday fun!

Yay! Love her amazing creations!
First, those little monsters just melted my heart. Now, let's talk about all that brass in your home! Good lord lady! I want it all! I feel like I'm using too many exclamation points, but I just can't help it. And those pillows are amazing. I of course loved that deer head as well…any one who doesn't love brass animals should be hung by their toes and publicly shamed in my opinions =) LOL!
I knew I liked you! 😉 Oh girl, that's not even the half of the brass – the brass chair is now in my living room with my brass coffee table and brass cranes and brass,,, well, everywhere!
I LOVE that needlepoint pillow! It's so fab, perfect for your home! I wish I'd looked into those sweaters. I loved the photo but I love what she does with them even more!
Aren't her little sweater monsters so adorable?! I think I need one!
Oh so cute! I saw a cute little needlepoint pillow while I was out thrifting this week. If I had known you wanted to start a collection, I would have picked it up for you 🙂
Aw, you're so sweet Caitlin! Perhaps it's for the best… I can see myself going needlepoint overload and it is not a pretty future 😉
I'll trade you my brass deer mount for THAT BRASS BED!!!!! Oh my stars!!!!! I am dying. I want it. I need it. I have to have it. I'll take your french sideboard as a party favor too! Thank you for the feature! I am delighted!! xox, Emily
Hehe… So tempted! 😉 Thanks for sharing your awesome find with us this week Emily!
I can totally see why you are addicted to those needlepoint pillows. They are pretty amazing!! Love your brass bed too. It's amazing!! Was that a thrift find as well?
Yes! Courtesy of my dear friend Craigslist!
I LOVE your needlepoint pillow – I recently found 4 amazing old needlepoint tapestries in a local charity / thrift shop & had to have them. I had no idea what I wanted to do with them, but they were too lovely to pass by. I have an idea to perhaps frame one but your cushion has given me inspiration.
All will be revealed on my blog … soon.
Thank you Dee! I can't wait to see what you do with them – they sound lovely!
Okay… I'm OBSESSED with that deer head. Also, that pillow is the CUTEST find! Yesss.
