I have held off posting about or talking too much about this, because I was so worried to make plans prematurely. However, all paperwork is signed and notarized, and, although the keys are not yet in our possession (the sellers have a five-day residential lease at the house), it is finally real to me – we have a house.
All of this happened quite a bit faster than we were expecting. We had heard that it could take 60 days to close on a house, so we figured, why not start looking to see what was in the area where we wanted to live. Long story short, we found this house, and it was the right price in the right area, and now we have a house!
I am so thrilled to [a] have a home (as gracious as Bryan’s parents have been to allow us to stay with them, I am so ready for my own place again), [b] have a project (the house was built in the 80’s, and so could use a little cosmetic updating), and [c] resume my Craigslist furniture business (we’ll have quite a bit of room downstairs for furniture storage, which is one thing we kept an eye out for when we were house-hunting)!
By the time we had made an offer on the house, I had five Pinterest boards full of ideas for the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, office, etc. So much for not getting prematurely excited…
Stay tuned for more inspiration and ideas….. And interior photos! I can’t wait to get back there and snap some!
