Let me preface this by saying I’m not 100% certain (or even confident) of the distinction between a credenza and a sideboard. So I shall henceforth refer to the piece in question as “credenza/sideboard” or “credenzboard” for short.
Everything looks uglier in a thrift store. It’s a fact. There are so many things I have second thoughts about until I get them home, polish them up, and start photographing them. Then it’s like, “Whoa! I had no idea this was so gorgeous! I can’t believe I almost left it there as a repository for sad old lamps…”
Natural light and Feed-N-Wax work wonders. (Seriously, Feed-N-Wax is a miracle product – it smells good because it’s a mixture of beeswax and orange oil, and it practically erases scratches.)
Mmm…. Look at that gorgeous brass hardware. I can’t decide if this fabulous credenzboard is more mid century modern or Hollywood regency, but it’s definitely a lovely combination of the two!
